From RealNetworks:

The free RealOne Player includes a media player, a music jukebox, and a built-in media browser for playing a wide variety of streaming media formats on the Web. It does not include access to RealOne channels or programming, premium player features, or RealOne member services.

Version 2.0 incorporates Helix technology, which supports virtually any type of media format, including DVD. The latest version also includes a new TurboPlay feature, which greatly reduces buffering times with high-speed Internet connections.

This versatile player specializes in streaming Web content. The stylish and handy interface supports downloadable skins and visualizations. It has all the essential components of a media player, supporting audio formats such as MP3, WMA, WAV, and CD tracks as well as video formats MPEG, AVI, DVD, and Flash. You can search your computer for playable media files and arrange them into playlists. You can even burn CDs. Owners of portable players will appreciate the plug-ins for transferring files. The Internet browser integrated into the player keeps statistics about your Web activities, such as traffic, lost packets, and streams. The flip side of this advantage may concern privacy-conscious users, because default settings allow automatic download of plug-ins and updates. Read through the options on setup to make this player the only one you need.
