Version: TrueCrypt 6.1
"Freeware is the only way to go here!"
Pros: Freeware is the only way to go here! Theres ons available today at GOTD but I would never use anything to encrypt my data or the system that I can't reinstall should the need arise. This is the best I've found that matches my needs.
Cons: Zero with the exception that a user can slip & forget their password. I recommend using one thats pre-burned into your memory.
Summary: This is a fine example of quality freeware. It's right there with Revo. This is the only one I've used in the past two years. The fact that it really is a true Vista compatible program that doesn't need to be run as administrator only makes it bette... read more >>

Version: TrueCrypt 6.1
Pros: True Crypt is able to encrypt the whole system.
Before pre-boot authentication nobody can know which system was installed on the computer or even if any system was insalled at all. Of course, all the data including all system files are encrypted.Cons: I have not experienced any problems.
Summary: I encrypted a system patition.
A computer works as usual as though it was not encrypted.
However, if a computer was switched off it would be impossible for an adversary to get access to my programs or files. -
Version: TrueCrypt 6.1
"free, very powerful and easy to use"
Pros: free, does what few other free programs seem to do
Cons: the auto-mounting feature seems to have issues, but not a big deal
Summary: If you want to have a space on your drive where you can simply drag or save things and they will be automatically encrypted, and automatically decrypted when you move them out of that space, then this program is for you. The program can automatical... read more >>

Version: TrueCrypt 6.1
Pros: Simple setup. Can automount partitions.
Cons: None so far
Summary: I wanted a piece of software so that I could encrypt my USB drives, and this works perfectly. I created a encrypted partition, and I am able to mount it with little incovenience. Does a great job

Version: TrueCrypt 6.1
Pros: everything, I thought it had a very smooth interface despite everyone else's complaints that this program is for advanced users only, I'm very green with encryption software and was able to use it fine,
Cons: none encountered so far
