Switch is an audio file converter for Mac OS X. It can convert many different types of audio files into mp3 or and wav format. Switch Converter is very easy to use. Just add the files you want to convert to the list, select the format you want to use, and then click the convert button. Features include: Automatically normalise audio while converting. Import multiple file formats at the same time and convert to one output format. Ability to play tracks prior to conversion.
Version 1.40 adds MPC support and features better OGG file format support.

Version: Switch Audio Converter for Mac 1.40
"Slow, loses track information."
Pros: Has handy options, e.g. you can set bit rate, you can choose whether to create new files or overwrite old ones, you can choose where to put files, most of the stuff you'd expect really.
Cons: It's really slow if you want to convert loads of files. It also wipes all the track information if there is any (artist, album etc).

Pros: Quick, simple, good sound
Cons: Could be faster
Summary: Get this if you want something simple and effective. I use it to take the songs I've mixed or composed from a .wave 192000 bitrate format to a 32-320 variable bitrate mp3 format or smaller.
