WinAce is an archiving utility with an easy-to-use interface for creating, extracting, and viewing archives. It includes built-in compression for ACE, ZIP, LHA, and MS CAB formats, and built-in decompression for ACE, ZIP, LHA, MS CAB, RAR, ARJ, ARC, GZIP, TAR, and ZOO formats. You can create multivolume (disk-spanning) archives for ACE and MS CAB formats and self-extracting archives (SFX) for ACE and ZIP formats.
Version 2.2 adds support for Windows Terminal Servers, adds compatibility with Windows XP themes, and fixes compatibility issues with RAR 3.0 archives.

Version: WinAce 2.2
Pros: You can use it past the trial period.
It has a pretty interface.
Shows a lot of information in terms of the progress during extraction and compression.
Cons: Not free.
Very old program.
No one use the ACE archive anymore...and WinRAR is able to read it.
If ACE isnt worth using, then all that is left is ZIP creation and you can get that with any archiving program today.

Version: WinAce 2.2
Pros: Nothing. Impossible to uninstall.
Cons: Use deVault instead. It has more features, more formats, encryption, scan in, preview, print, ftp, email, share and it is free. Take a look for yourself at ekwintools.com

Version: WinAce 2.2
Pros: Just as good as any other archiving programme as far as features and functionality are concerned.
Cons: Since i discovered the excellent FREE 7-Zip archiver, and my trial version of this programme ran out i decided to uninstall it. That was about a week ago, and this programme is still on my computer because i can't uninstall it. Everytime i try it gets right near to the end and tells me there are still some files in use so it can't go any further with it. I have tried everything i can think of and i still can't seem to be able to stop these '2' files it says are still in use from ruining the uninstall. Hopefully soon i'll be able to find out what to do so as this thing isn't cluttering up my system anymore.
Also, the interface looks too 'windows 98'
As i said above, i'd recommend 7-Zip. It's free, easy to use, looks nice. Doesn't do quite as much as WinAce, but does what you need.

Version: WinAce 2.2
Pros: None
Cons: I don't like anything that has spyware in it whether or not the vendor says it's removable.Just google 'whenu' for details.
Download winrar or IZArc or 7 zip which are free! (winrar is shareware BTW.)
As for 'ACE' files many bittorrent downloads are Archived this way.Nothing wrong with adding a few more strings to your bow, otherwise I agree with CableguyTK.
I wouldn't take the risk.

Version: WinAce 2.2
Pros: I will review version 2.6 which is recomend it and CNET should include it. It can decompress a lot of file types including rar too. It is easy to use and does not cause any problems.
Cons: Unfortunately you have to pay for it.
