Publisher's description of ObjectDock
ObjectDock acts both as a task manager and a program launcher. Users can customize the look of each item on the dock and set various animation options for when the mouse rolls over an item on the dock. The program is very easy to configure. Version 1.9 adds Windows Vista DWM support, new skins, minimize/maximize effects, and a new weather docklet.

- "A whole new Taskbar"
Jealous of that slick Mac interface? Check out ObjectDock, a free utility that replaces the Windows Taskbar with a colorful, animated dock similar to the taskbar in Mac OS X.
ObjectDock displays icons for currently running applications and can hold quick-launch icons for your favorite programs. As you pass the cursor over each icon, ObjectDock magnifies it and displays relevant information, helping you find what you need even when you're running several programs at once. An attractive clock rounds out the toolbar. The tiny utility comes with a dozen attractive skins, and users with slow computers can reduce the animation quality to increase speed.
There is one major drawback: the lack of a system tray. There is a free, imperfect docklet plug-in available from a third-party provider that valiantly tries to remedy the problem, although it's a bit buggy. You can also upgrade to the Plus edition for $20, which includes system tray support, tabbed docks, support for multiple docks and multiple monitors, and other features.
If you're dissatisfied with the Windows Taskbar or just want to spice up your Desktop, ObjectDock makes a very good, no-risk choice.

Version: ObjectDock 1.9
Pros: I always wanted Mac for its stylish interface. However had to be rooted to PC. This app. adds style. You can get completely rid of your windows taskbar and configure objectdoc to see minimized windows. There are hell lot of options. From effects to getting almost anything launched from this app. Its cool!!
Cons: Considering it is a free app. which completely replaces windows taskbar, I don't think there is anything negative. For all you who are worried about crashes and hangups, I have noted none!!

Version: ObjectDock 1.9
"The best, but needs to be better."
Pros: The many user-submitted docklets is what makes this flashy dock the best out there. You can completely replace your Windows taskbar with ObjectDock since there are Start Menu, Time & Date and SystemTray docklets. There is even the option to display your opened applications and windows in the dock.
Cons: It has a tendency to crash once in a while. Especially when using lots of docklets.

Version: ObjectDock 1.9
Pros: After I downloaded the free version, I was impressed. Short after that I upgraded to the Plus version which is $19.95 and I'm still impressed.
Previously I was using JetToolBar which was very practical, but ObjectDoc is much more graphical and beautiful. I find this product the most beautiful way to organize your desktop and launch your apps.
Cons: * The tabbed bar can't animate like to non-tabbed bar, which would be a great addition.
* I'm missing a "Save all" button.
* I would be a nice feature that ObjectDoc look for the web-icon online when a hyperlink-shortcut is created.
