- "Terminate spyware"
This spyware scanner and removal tool does the job, but enabling some functions may cause slight slowdowns and it's not ready for Vista.
Spyware Terminator's crisp, clean interface uses simple buttons and tabs to operate and set options. The latest spyware signatures are automatically downloaded, and the real-time protection keeps baby-sitting to a minimum. Real-time protection monitors key spyware types and Windows objects, though slight system slowdowns depend on your machine. Those features and the simple scheduler will make this app appealing to novices.
Advanced users will appreciate Spyware Terminator's flexibility. Setting the sensitivity of various scans is as easy as moving a slider. Experienced users will want to enable the built-in antivirus tool, which extends the power of real-time analysis by comparing program code against a database of known viruses, Trojans, and worms.

"Great thorough spyware remover"
Pros: The program is great at identifying bugs and removing them. No slowdown of my computer. I like that it has the install mode that asks you before anything is done before it happens. Fast scans, real time protection is awesome.
Cons: Crawler and Web Shield. Web Shield was great but slowed my browser to a virtual crawl, no pun intended. Crawler toolbar as well, keep it.
Summary: I won't be redundant, I think I explained the pros pretty well. It's very unfortunate that Web Shield has to come with the Crawler toolbar because I liked the fact that Web Shield marked every search result with a green, yellow or red shield indica... read more >>

Pros: Identifies a lot of spyware, has fast scan, which is really fast(takes just over 1 minute!)
Cons: It takes some time to understand new Real Time shield.
Summary: I really love it. Spyware Terminator solved numerous problems on my system, that Ad-Aware and Spybot weren't able to. Great piece of software!

"Nice program to eliminate spyware"
Pros: Spyware terminator saved my computer. I couldn 't do anything on my PC bcs of spyware. After I cleaned by this stuff is my PC clean. I have it for one week and found out that has the feature called Install mode. It is cool.
Cons: Full scan could be faster
Summary: You can leave the Crawler, but if you donīt want it you can correctly uninstall.

Pros: It identified a lot of spyware initially.
Cons: It installs lots of junk including a persistent Crawler. My computer bogged down and experienced startup freezes after installing. Messed up some of my other programs from working properly.
Summary: It is a nice idea but they are not funding their work by giving away free software so the additional installations are paying for it. If you have a smooth operating system, I would avoid this software and go with Lavasoft which creates no problems.<... read more >>

Pros: Does a reasonable job of checking for nasties, fairly easy to set up and fine tune.
Cons: There was a gap over Christmas and another one from Dec 29th until Jan 3rd. Malware does not stop evolving over holiday periods, these weren't holiday periods in many parts of the world either.
Summary: The lack of consistent, regular updates is my big reservation about being able to rely on this product fully, I certainly want something that will give me real-time protection that's updated regularly. Other anti-spyware products have had updates du... read more >>
