Version: WinMerge 2.8.6
"Great powerful attractive file compare diff & merging"
Pros: Very powerful. Great interface makes it easy to use. Syntax colouring makes it easy to merge code. Alt-key commands for most (all?) operations, so can be very fast to review and merge on a change-by-change basis.
Cons: None found so far, except that it would be nice to be able to choose the default character set for xml files that don't specify it, but this is such an extreme condition that it isn't really worth implementing.
Summary: Haven't tried it under Vista yet, but it was amazingly useful under XP. Found it easier to use and more attractive than ExamDiff and other similar programs. Use it all the time for text and xml files. Downloading it for Vista now to help implement... read more

Version: WinMerge 2.8.6
Pros: It has the ability to merge files, unlike diffdaff. It can create diffs, IE: diff files for use on places like sourceforge/SVN.
Cons: None that I know of.
