Cons: Not Free !!!
Summary: The description says its free -- IT IS NOT FREE!! -- it is only a trial --when the trial period ends, you have to pay or it stops working. read more

Version: Rising Antivirus Free Edition 20.56
Pros: For a free anti-virus it beats the best licenced ones. It is complete, protects, and looks after my system like a dream. WOW.
Cons: None that I can see so far
Summary: The options this anti-virus offers is amazing. Its the kind of anti-virus you would expect to cost an arm and a leg and its free. I will never use another anti-virus to protect my PC. read more

Pros: So far, I think this is the most polished and complete of the free AV's out there. Antivirus, Antispyware, POP/SMTP protection, Anti Rootkits, automatic updates. Easy interface to navigate. It also got the VB100 award...seems to have everything.
Cons: No firewall but thats not a big deal. The security audit tab doesn't seem to give you an accurate report (it will say that you need to update the definitions after they have already been done) - once again, this has no bearing on it's effectiveness.
Summary: I was running avast, avira, and avg on each of my pc's last month. All of my systems are now running Rising; It is an excellent product! read more
