Not worth the price
Pros: So I bought the pro version. It scans fast and tells you if stuff if up to date. It trys to download updates of your stuff for you, or provides a link to the website where you can get the update.
I only use it to scan and see what is out of date, then i update from teh actual program itself or from the programs website, i dont use Version Tracker for this as it only works ~10% of the time.
So Excellent scanner to see what is out of date, but not worth the money for that.
Cons: It counts betas as new versions.
Sometimes it says my version of something is out of date, yet it has the same version listed as the newest.
You can downlaod updates through version tracker, but only some will actually update something. About half will actually downlaod through version tracker. Of those, only a handful will install.
It will send you to the correct website for SOME programs to get the updates if it cant download them.
Sometimes you dont want to update stuff, like free versions of programs that came with your computer or something, where you would have to pay for the new version. If it has a "hide" feature for these programs it either dosent work (i dont remember) or it needs one.
