    Version: Advanced WindowsCare Personal 2.8.6

    "Harmless, useful?, kinky!"

Pros: Quick scans, removing everything it tells you to seems to be harmless at least in the sense your computer won't crash, slight speedup noticed

Cons: For some reason, it changes some display settings! That's just not on! Maybe it tells you it will but it should just leave that alone

    Summary: null

I finally figured out how to keep it from tinkering with my display settings. After scanning, add all items in 'system optimization' to the 'ignore' list(right click and add to ignore list) Then scan again instead of clicking 'repair'. Nothing in system optimization will show up. Afterwards you can click 'repair' Good, decent program with fast scans, I've noticed slightly smoother booting of OS and smoother running of windows explorer since using it. Don't tinker with startup management unless you know what you're doing though.

Well, you can also unselect the system optimization column before a scan. But I noticed that on my old computer a lot more items showed up under system optimiation. Maybe you should let this program have its way with your display settings once(among others), reset them then and then unselect system optimizationon subsequent runs. If you unclick 'system optimization' once, it will remember that choice on subsequent runs unless you change it. What it changes can be restored by going to Control panel-appearence and themes-display-appearance-effects. Note your settings under this head before you let this program run and then change them back again. Untick system optimization on subsequent runs

I had downloaded this software some time back, & after i had run it the next day when i put on the pc, my desktop display icons had vanished. I only got a blank screen, since i am not a computer expert i had to call the computer guy and he too took allmost 5-6 hrs to fix this problem and he has to ultimately uninstall this software, then the pc was allright. I am now afraid to download this software even though most of the reviews here say the product is too good. Advise???
