"It's ok but why settle for less than the best?"
Pros: It's free but not for long I hear.
Cons: I used this free antivirus program for a long time and now after trying Avast free version, I wish that i had switched sooner.

"The best so far, all in all."
Pros: Light on system resources and very accurate in detection of viruses,trojans, and worms. Improved interface. Quick downloads of updates. Up to date, and efficient web site, unlike Avast. Avast needs a more modern interface and website and for this I don't recommend it.
Cons: Says it has real time protection but lets you down load viruses, etc till you scan the downloaded files, doesn't catch the stuff till after you downloaded it. Not too good but still gets it on a scan of the files. Still, it would be better to catch a virus while downloading then to let it on your computer afterwards. For that, I couln't give it five stars. Sorry AVG!

Pros: This has been for the most part a great, useful and easy on the computer systems. I've used this for years but with all security programs, it's doesn't get it all.
Cons: I scanned my computer with another program. That program found lots of computer uglies. AVG missed 2 trojans, one worm and numerous malware (and yes, I update AVG regularly)

Cons: First of all does not update automatically...Of course that the free one...
