Version: AVG Internet Security 8.0.87
"I Don't Trust AVG/Grisoft. The Editor must be high 4 Stars. WTF"
Pros: " NOTHING "
Cons: I had AVG/Grisoft Anti-spyware installed on my computer I purchased Panda IS 2008. Panda would not install unless AVG Anti-spyware was uninstalled. I uninstalled AVG Anti-spyware but did not remove the setup folder and file. A couple months later I did a online Kaspersky Anti-virus scan just for a second opinion. When Kaspersky online Anti-virus was scanning my computer it found the AVG Anti-spyware folder and setup file and marked it as a THREAT. When two of the best Anti-viruses single out the same program how can you honsetly trust anything from AVG/Grisoft ?? I dont work for Panda or Kaspersky I know they are both good anti-viruses I do like Panda better though. So try Panda or Kaspersky they are much better and tell AVG/Grisoft to stick it.

I dont agree. Dont you know that Kaspersky is infamous for causing computer crashes due to incorrect statement of some files as THREAT. AVG is a good protection software.

The security issue crossed my mind so did the false alarm but that was not the case. In my home I have three computers all three have panda IS 2008 installed and all three have windows XP PRO.
The samething happened on all three computers I had AVG Anti-Spyware installed on all three computers and Panda would not install until AVG Anti-Spyware was removed. I did the Kaspersky online scan with all three computers and I left the AVG Anti-Spyware setup file and folder on the computers and Kaspersky found AVG on all three computers and considered AVG Anti-Spyware a THREAT. No security issues or false alarms here. I also have Webroot SpySweeper and Spyware Doctor installed on all three computers. Why didnt Panda or Kaspersky find those as THREATS ?? Why would Panda install with SpySweeper and Spyware Doctor installed but not with AVG Anti-Spyware installed ?? Like I said before if you want to be protected from viruses use Panda or Kaspersky Anti-Viruses. After my key for Spysweeper expires I wont be renewing it but as a backup I will keep Spyware Doctor. You never can have have too much protection from the nasties out there.

Apparently Panda simply did not want to install over another security app and Kaspersky had a false alarm. Why do you blame AVG?
