Powered by version 5.0 of the CRX engine, this game features incredibly fast gameplay and next-generation engine features such as light bloom and reflective water. The game includes 32 maps, eight weapons (with alt-fire modes), nine player characters, mutators, five gameplay modes, and an in-game server browser.
Note: This is a very large (170MB) file and may take several hours to download via dial-up modem.

"Perhaps the Greatest Free Shooter Game"
Pros: Alien Arena just keeps getting better and better. The graphics are excellent and the new maps are sweet. Some of the weapons even have an alternate fire now. Alien Arena 2006 is just plain amazing. I would even say that this game ranks up with some of the greatest shooter games like halo! And it is free!!!
Cons: Nothing. Thanks COR Entertainment for a great game and please continue to update it and make it even better.

Pros: A very professionally made freeware
FPS game. I especially like the
"all out assault" game mode with
vehicle gameplay.
(Note: It doesn't require "better
hardware" than is required to play
Half Life2, and another comment that
it runs in "cmd, which we all might
know as dos" is ridiculous).
A must download for those who enjoy
games such as Quake2 and Quake3 arena.

Pros: its is a killer game (and for free makes it even better) I see all these other people doggin it out and I am wondering why they are being such a&%$#&% about it. I found this game to be as good as alot of commercial games and the grphics to be very good. May not be quite doom 3 level, but not to far away....and its free so where do you have room to complian.
