Avant DVD/DivX Player utilizes Microsoft DirectX technology and supports almost all of the popular video, audio, and image formats. It can play DVD and DivX files, and it supports AVI, MPEG, WMV, ASF, MP3, JPEG, and GIF formats. Avant DVD/DivX Player features screen-capture functionality and can bookmark your necessary movie clip to the exact position. It also allows you to set wallpaper with your favorite image.
Version 2.48 may include unspecified updates, enhancements, or bug fixes.

Version: Avant DVD/DivX Player 2.48
"Very limited - more of an advert"
Pros: Not a great deal really - ugly, dated interface and hardly anything works
Cons: Nag screen keeps appearing - no option to get rid of it. This version is VERY limited - although buttons like fast forward, rewind etc are visible, clicking them only brings up a nag screen for the full version. The buttons don't actually work.
Summary: This is avery limited trial version only. With a clunky, dated and ugly appearance, I don't don't why anybody would want to pay money for it, even if it did work.
