Folder Lock is fast file-security software that can password-protect, lock, hide, and encrypt any number of files, folders, drives, pictures, and documents in seconds. Locked files are undeletable, unrenamable, unmovable, hidden, and inaccessible. You can lock, scramble, or encrypt depending on speed and security. Folder Lock is fully portable, so you can protect your files on USB flash drives, disks, CD-RWs, notebooks, and hard disks, and it doesn't require installation on another PC. Folder Lock protects files in Windows, DOS, and Safe modes, even when you change your OS or boot from a disk. Folder Lock doesn't let you delete its own program folder, and it can't be uninstalled without the correct password. The program blocks coworkers, kids, peepers, hackers, viruses, spyware, networks, and all online and offline threats. Snoopers can't find or access the files you hide using Folder Lock, even in DOS or under other operating systems. This application also erases your Recent Documents history, so intruders don't know what to search for. The attractive lock-like interface presents the program functions simply. You can click on the Browse link to locate and lock folders anywhere on your computer, or you can simply secure them via a right-click. You also have the option to shred files for permanent removal, monitor hackers who try to break in to your secured files, and enable stealth mode so would-be wrongdoers can't even see the folders you have locked. In our tests, the program demonstrated good speed, even when securing large folders. If you share a PC and need to keep certain files to yourself, you should definitely have a look at this application.

  "Flawless! Simple to use and bug-free!"

  Pros: Folder Lock is an absolutely awesome program! It literally makes your important documents, photos and other media secure, invisable and totally protected from accidental deletion or modification by family members, co-workers, network users or ANYBODY who uses your PC. Only those who know the password have access... period! The application integrates seemlessly with windows and offers a user-friendly interface suitable for novice and power-users alike.

  Don't hesitate to check out the 35 day free trial. If you opt to purchase the program, the registered version installs "over" the trial so all of your security settings are preserved. I got a 10% discount ordering on-line through sharewareplaza.

  "reliable and quick"

  Pros: My laptop is for both personal and professional use. With Folder Lock I�m totally sure that private stuff stays private. It is reliable and quick. The full version provides you with some handy extras. It is even possible to switch to a �sneaky� mode if you like.

  "This does exactly what it says and is totally secure"

  Pros: I used to hide my personal folders from my teenage son, but he is far more computer savvy than I am, so I tried Folder Lock. I used it once and bought it straight away. Now I know prying eyes can only see what I want them to see. Folder lock is also very easy to use, even for a not so young computer buff. Love the product.

  Pros: This product is easy to use and accomplishes what I did not find in several other products I tried. The support for removable media and options that allow you to balance speed and degree of protection are fantastic.
