Though it took us a few minutes to get acquainted with the user interface, this Web browser let us quickly download and view sites for offline viewing.

JOC Web Spiders user interface appears simple in nature--a toolbar at the top featuring drop-down menus, and seemingly simple command buttons below that. But its not at all intuitive, and we had to refer to the Help file to understand how to get started. After some reading, we were able to add a site by copying and pasting the URL into the appropriate field. Once we saved it to our hard drive and clicked to update, the program went to work, quickly validating the Web sites links. We clicked the view button and were able to instantly view the site offline.

Thanks to its stingy, 30-use trial, novice users won't have very long to familiarize themselves with the program. Still, it makes a worthy offline browser.
