- "Boilerplate protection from Kaspersky"
Protecting your computer from viruses is not something to take lightly, so we're glad to say Kaspersky Anti-Virus Personal Pro does a reasonable job of keeping your PC safe. We like this application's unique features that protect Microsoft Office applications, as well as the new utilities for safeguarding archived files.
The interface divides the app's functionality into three main areas: Protection, Settings, and Support. The Protection tab offers the meat of the features, with tools for scanning drives, downloading the latest virus definitions, quarantining offenders, archiving, and generating reports. The Settings tab supplies a number of options for configuring the level of protection, scheduling events, tailoring the interface, or adjusting the program's behavior to your liking. The Support tab also gives you some nice features, including a virus encyclopedia and an option for sending the app's developers a questionable file for analysis.
Recently, Kaspersky has been slightly outperformed in catching threats and we find the price to be a bit steep. All told, though, Kaspersky Anti-Virus Personal Pro's combination of tools and features make it an excellent choice for personal use.

"It's more lighter than other personal security suites and somehow better"
Pros: Updates often whenever there's a new threat meaning more malware caught. Remarkably uses lighter resources (I think it's avp and uses about 3k of my memory usage). It has IDS to further strengthen the firewall. The proactive defense acts or is the heuristics of the suite itself. Bah this program is too great for me.
Cons: The interface, this con may not be serious but it somehow looks like windows NT (or at least it's my own fault to get another skin). Proactive defense is truly obtrusive on the first start so it's better to know more of your computer before going thru the balloon messages. Others say it's anti-spam is it's weakness but I use webmail so it doesn't bother me at all

Pros: Kaspersky's internet security suite is well designed protection suite.Amazing scanner detects and removes all kinds of threats incuding hard to find spyware and rootkits.Good realtime protection, automatic scanning of all files and the proactive defense protects aganist new and unknown threats.Firewall is very good, blocks all bad trafic.Hourly updates, always up to date.
Cons: No parental controls and antispam misses too much spam.Privacy protection isn't very good.

Pros: So.. I want to say I love it, It,s great because it's low usage of memory and CPU.
It's the best way to be away from all types of spy-wares and ad-wares.
You have to use another firewall or It's own anti haker program.
