"Great alternative to overpriced Adobe products!"
Pros: Does everything. Easy to use. Value priced. (Better markup options than Zeon product... and better create pdf options like scan to pdf)
Cons: No Vista x64 version yet (knowledge base at site says available by end of '08)
Interface takes some getting used to... a little too creative. But fast and efficient after a little use.Summary: If you're looking for alternative to Adobe Acrobat (R) (TM) and are not using a 64 bit OS, this product deserves a serious look. x64 users will have to wait a while yet (I hear it rumored that XP x64 does work w/NitroPDF, but I also hear it doesn't,... read more >>

"NOT A PROFESSIONAL PRODUCT JUST YET."
Pros: Cheap.
Some good features such as combining different documents in different file formats into one PDF document.Cons: Nitro Professional has the potential to be a professional product, but is inadequate at this time. Nitro Professional does NOT include OCR functionality at this time (planned for 2009).
Summary: I had to purchase Adobe Acrobat to get the ?scan to a text searchable PDF" feature. I purchased Nitro Professional based on the excellent review by CNET, but am very disappointed that I did. You should know that it will cost you $10 each time you ... read more >>

"Brilliant. No-compromise alternative to Adobe Acrobat!"
Pros: Version 5.4.1.7 has Microsoft Office-2007-like 'ribbon' on top, which not only looks elegant and professional, but also significantly increases productivity. Features and performance both are great- exactly what an individual like me needs.
Cons: At US $99 for a single-user license, this product is too costly for an individual. For home users, a 'Home & Student' version may be sold at a more reasonable US $49 (The US $49 Nitro PDF Express is too feature-stripped to be practically useful).
Summary: A credible alternative to the overpriced Adobe Acrobat for those who don't need the lesser-used features of Adobe Acrobat. Save hundreds of dollars by choosing Nitro PDF Professional. Great on features, looks and performance. However, this product i... read more >>
