"Easy install, versatile, fast, free"
Pros: Have used for years; fast, easy install, great editing tools, low resource use, free.

"NoteTab Light is an excellent html editor."
Pros: Even the free version of this software, Note Tab Light, is an excellent html editor. It includes a code complete function (HTML-ar) which insures all your code is compliant and has end tags. There are many more useful features. It is also a great improvement over Notepad which it can be substituted for.

Version: NoteTab Light 5.61
Pros: I use it for writing mark-up language, still alot to learn about the program but up to now I'm very satisfied with it. I like the ability to have several files open at the same time.
Cons: There seem to be some spelling mistakes in the dictionary section.

"One of the few programs I missed from Windows"
Pros: I tried - I really tried, to love the various text programs on linux, but they were either only moderately more powerful than notepad, or incredibly powerful, but (to me) unintuitive - none of them had the combination of power and ease I had with Notetab Light on Windows.
It's really easy to get real work done with Notetab.
Cons: It's windows only. I'd really like to see it ported to Linux. As I type this, I'm working on getting it to run under Wine, only the second program I've been desperate enough to run that way.
