- "Speedy and safe"
The premise of Opera has always been the same--develop the fastest, smallest, and most full-featured browser available--and the latest version maintains the tradition. Opera has all the basics covered, including tabbed browsing with mouse-over preview, a search bar, advanced bookmarking tools, and simple integration with your favorite e-mail and chat clients. Mouse-gesture support, keyboard shortcuts, and drag-and-drop functionality further enhance your surfing experience.
With solid basics, Opera's extra features push it to the top of the class. Integrated theme support lets you preview themes from within the interface so you know what you're getting before you download. Widgets (akin to Mac OS X dashboard applications) are small, useful programs that appear in a window from any app while Opera is running. The Wand utility combines autofill with saved passwords. We really like the addition of torrent support and real-time fraud protection for safer browsing.
A new feature in version 9.2, Speed Dial, permanently assigns bookmarks and tabs any digit from one through nine. When you enter one of those numbers into the URL bar, the corresponding site loads when you hit enter. Overall, we think Opera might have what it takes to unseat even the biggest-name browsers if users give it the opportunity. Opera is a must-download for those looking for a full-featured browser with added extras.

Version: Opera 9.22
"Still the best browser out there."
Pros: Opera has always been my web browser of choice. It stands out from the other browsers out there because of features that's exclusive to it. 9.22 improved on the BitTorrent downloading and I saw a great improvement. This browser is still faster than Firefox or Internet Explorer 7. This is still the best, fastest, and safest web browser out there.
Cons: Again, it's not Opera's fault...but not all websites render well. Developers need to know that there are Opera users out there.

Version: Opera 9.22
"Many features, but suffers in performance."
Pros: Opera has many features. It has potential.
Cons: I still can't setup my POP3 email with it's internal email program built into Opera. Authentication doesn't work. The browser uses a lot of RAM. Up to about 100MB of RAM usage with only 4MB RAM cache. It's slower than IE7, and K-Meleon as well which are other browsers I use as well. I also noticed that nicksearches don't work with Opera no more. What happened? It worked in version 9.21. I also read on the Internet that Opera 9.22. From my experience Opera is traditionally very slow at checking documents, and images always in History settings. No automatic setting. You can be missing out on forum conversions, or always behind in websites. You have to hit the refresh button. Though I haven't experimented this setting with 9.22, I don't think I have to, because Opera has other issues to be resolved.

Version: Opera 9.22
Pros: This version seems to be the best "Opera" so far. As with "Firefox". this version of "Opera" opens and pages faster. It's now very customizable with widgets and more skins then I was willing to look at. It also seems that the newest version of "Java Runtime" works better then with my favorite IE based browsers. I use only "Vista" now and it saves all favorites to a folder in the administrator's user account. Unlike the last release of "Opera", this version is much better at importing these favorites on it's own. It's hard to say but I now find "Opera" and "Firefox" to be pretty much a toss up as to being the best browsers available. Because of their new found speed and "Java" compatibility, these are now my two favorites. I waited a long time for this browser to get right. Now, it is.
Cons: As with "Firefox", every new release reduces the cons I can find. I have no issues viewing the web pages I use so, I have no cons to offer with this version of "Opera".

Version: Opera 9.22
"I think this is the best Opera yet,"
Pros: It is quick and easy to use. I would not like to rate it between Firefox and Avant.
Cons: I seem to be having problems with speed dial.

Version: Opera 9.22
"Got spoiled w Avant Browser, MORE spoiled w Opera! Problems w integration tho'"
Pros: Has everything that someone like me needs: can open lots of windows w/o getting frozen up, customizations and integrations are abundant, blocks ads great, allows saved sessions - LOVE THIS FEATURE - can save them for weeks rather than just the next time you open the browser..and the NEW SPEED DIAL - GENIUS!
Cons: Could not use my tried an true Roboform with it - was forced to use the Opera's WAND and have to put all passwords in all over again...Kept sending me error message (this can be a good thing, but it was about things that I could not fix about my computer - got annoying) and would not allow me to fill out contests and questionnaires and send info. Did nothing when pressed button. Had to take out and go back to Avant....sad because I LOVED THE SPEED DIAL FOR FREQUENTLY USED WEBSITES THOUGH! No other browser had that - I believe..
