"I found it actually works very well, a good dounload."
Pros: it was able to read some compresions, that I thought were gone.
Cons: The only thing was that I couldn't register the trial version, but it kept asking.

Version: PowerArchiver 2006 9.51
"The best file compression program available. Period."
Pros: Where do I start? PowerArchiver is fantastic. The vast amount of filetypes that PowerArchiver handles (including CD images) combined with its ability to powerfully compress files into the new 7Zip format makes it the only file compression program you need.
Cons: Unless you pay for it, the nag screens are annoying. Also, 7Zip compression is all-or-nothing: you can't edit the contents of a 7Zip archive after you've built it.

Version: PowerArchiver 2006 9.51
Pros: I was a long-time (registered) WinZip user who became frustrated with WinZip's lack of compatibility with non-Zip compression formats. I gave PowerArchiver a try about 6 months ago, and I haven't looked back. It works great with many different compression formats; easily encrypts sensitive files; provides self-extracting archive capabilities; is supported well with frequent updates (free for life, for registered users) and FAQs and user forums; and is even skinnable if you are into that kind of thing. I have no problem paying for software that's worth the money, and at $20--less than what most other compression utilities cost--PowerArchiver is more than a steal!
Cons: I wish that encrypted files could be accessed more directly, without the user's having to go through the PowerArchiver interface first. (I had to think pretty hard to come up with any criticism, and this is the best I could do...)
