• "Keep the adware out"

It's convenient that SpyWall Anti-Spyware integrates directly into Internet Explorer, but some users might wish for an option to disable the toolbar during the installation process. As a real-time shield, SpyWall Anti-Spyware was almost too reliable at times. Though it prevented almost all malware and Browser Helper Objects from sneaking onto our test PC, it often blocked harmless sites. You may need to spend a bit of time configuring the application to allow certain URLs you frequently visit.

We did find a number of helpful perks underneath the hood, including a scheduler, automatic definitions updates, logging, and a start-up manager. Unfortunately, the spyware scanner was a bit more disappointing, as it left behind a number of adware components we installed for testing purposes. The one-week trial period also is shorter than we ideally like to see. Savvier users might find this utility useful for its real-time protection and other extras, so long as they don't rely on it as their sole antimalware solution.

  "Worth the buy!"

  Pros: This is great software and it finds bad stuff that many other anti-spyware can't find. Works good!

  Cons: One warning after using this SpyWall program.. and that is that you should run a program like uniblue registry scanner(or similiar) after using SpyWall since I have detected that it can be a bit too aggressive sometimes. Not much bad to say about it, really.

  "It is fast and does the job well."

  Pros: Cleaned up virus heat from my PC. Anyone who has been infected with virus heat knowns the pain that spyware causes. SpyWALL fixed it for me. I am very happy now.

  "Simple and one of the best."

  Pros: Particularly good at removing nasties. If your other antispyware cannot clean the PC, give SpyWall a try. My favorite feature of SpyWall is browser protection. I see SpyWall blocking a lot of attacks while I surf the web. And it is very cheap.

  Cons: GUI looks bit dated and I have not seen definition update in some time.

  "Fast, but not really a free trial"

  Pros: This sucker is fast!

  Cons: The biggest con is I feel I was coned! I read the page carefully, no where did it say I could use the tool, but not use the tool; which is what happened.

  Summary: I downloaded it, 3 minutes later it was done. I had one critical problem and 133 other problems.Problem is, when I clicked to fix, THEN it tells me it will not fix my problem until I pay 14.99 NO FREE TRIAL HERE...makes me SOOOO angry! Isn't this a ... read more >>
