SpywareBlaster doesn't scan for and clean spyware - it prevents it from being installed in the first place. SpywareBlaster prevents the installation of ActiveX-based spyware, adware, dialers, browser hijackers, and other potentially unwanted programs. It can also block spyware/tracking cookies in IE and Mozilla/Firefox, and restrict the actions of spyware/ad/tracking sites. With the built-in Check for Updates feature, you can help ensure your protection is up-to-date. SpywareBlaster also includes a System Snapshot feature, which lets you take a snapshot of your computer in its clean state and later revert, undoing many changes made by spyware and browser hijackers.

Pros: Worked well on blocking stuff, removal database worked efficiently.
Cons: Poblematic with memory usage on both platforms tested, and lacked definitions. Would reccomend looking elsewhere. To many good programs listed on CNET. 2/9 in testing and removal. Left registry keys behind on 8/9 tests

Pros: spyware blaster is perfect program to block spyware. its very lite on the pc and not take from the memory of ram. i use it with xoftspy.
Cons: no mistakes. 5 stars for spyware blaster.

Pros: Classy interface. Options clear and simple. Huge immunization database that is easy to apply. Easy option to check things that you don't want to be immunized against. Hitting problems at the beginning rather than challenging them once they've got into your system. Since immunizing with blaster I have noticed a genuinely huge decrease in the amount of rubbish getting onto my computer. Truly excellent freeware!
Cons: Updates although reasonable could be a little more frequent to keep up with scanners like ad-aware. If the database were more frequently updated it would reduce the need for scanning so often and make spyware blaster even more respectable.
