Have you ever dreamt of becoming a cool character or hero, like you see in movies, animations, and games. GunZ is an online game that enables you to realize such a dream. GunZ is not your ordinary gunz fighting game. It allows you to imitate a famous hero, create your own fashion style, and perform a number of different actions such as shooting or stabbing whilst running and jumping on the walls. What makes GunZ ever better than other games is the fact that the game is available online to all users.

"Great game, but it's flaws are more than evident"
Pros: First I like the general play idea. Running at full speed, leaping onto a wall, running along it and flipping off it in mid air all while fire bullets at your opponents is a thrill. The game boasts many differences that set it apart from your basic shooter. The Matrix-isque techniques (Such as running along walls, flipping off of them into a somersault and still being able to shoot your guns.), as well as the weaponry (Pistols, Rifles, Sub-Machine Guns, Machine Guns, Rail guns, missile launchers, flash bangs, frag grenades, smoke grenades, knifes, swords, and double swords to name a few), added to the western-ish look of the game. You will often being constantly moving, but take sometime to look at the nice scenery; from a section of a town, to a deserted island, and into a dungeon with pitfalls everywhere. Also setting this game apart from others, is that it melds action, shooter, and role playing into a workable element. As you defeat your opponents you gain experience that allows you access to more and more weapons. What I liked is that leveling up only decides what you can equip and nothing else, so it is a game of skill and good weapon choices. Musically, the 9 tracks are impressive, ranging from a slowish rock, to an intense thrash rock. Sound effects are believable.
Cons: What I didn't like is the customer support. Even in beta, some support is to be expected. Throughout this long beta, their has been constant hacking, cheating, exploiting, even mass character deletion. The staff (no matter it's small size) brushed it off and did not choose to do anything about it until it got way out of hand. Poorly done in any regard. The lag is somewhat bad at times, as everyone connects to each other and to the game server instead of all connecting directly to the game server.
Since there is no publisher for the International version (which everyone who is not Japanese, Korean, or Philippine will be play) there is no cash shop, no quest mode, and also no clan war server. This was a promised to be added by the end of last year, but problems arose and we see nothing of it now.
Cheating as I said before is constant, with a hacker showing up in every game eventually. Usually with god mode and speed hacks that make the others player unable to fight them. Also a minor exploit in the games coding has been dismissed as a style that is overly used, but in order to play you will have to cope with it.

"Awesome game, Not so awesome players."
Pros: The game is so fun to play provinding you with ours of entertainment. Unlike other mmoprgs this game requires speed, skill and technique for someone to succeed which basically means that it is not impossible that a lvl1 player beats a lvl20+ player, which is really cool. Oh and I suggest you donwload the full version so you don`t have to torrent from here: http ://www .fileplanet.com/156262/150000/fileinfo/GunZ:-The-Duel-Beta (REMOVE THE SPACES FROM THE URL). Even though downloading the full version is faster it will still take you a bit of time.
Cons: The people ruined a perfectly good game. The servers are kept light weight for less lag but this means that alot of data is client side and can be edited to the users liking. Thus you can simply edit the file that contains the amount of hp you have and edit it to give you alot more hp and what not. So 50% of the people use hacks thus making the game unfair and very frustrating. If there are no hack users this game with most definitley get a 5 star.

"Counter-Strike Meets The Matrix"
Pros: You have the ability to do cool moves. Running on walls, Running up walls and ton cool ticks.
Wide Range Of weapons
You can fight with swords, daggers etc.
Cons: There's not much of a story line.
It's not a big world. All you can do is go to a server and kill. No quests that I can think of...

Pros: Yestarday was the firt time i played and enjoyed myself a lot. You can create more than one character.
Just login, select from the list of characters you have created, and play and have fun. Just like any other multiplayer games different modes are available for playing like deathmatch, team death match etc.
Well if you get a set of good players you'll really enjoy playing it.

"Fun For Everyone.... Sort Of"
Pros: Well, this is a great concept for a game. Its almost like you have Matrix powers, but nothing so complex. You get a melee weapon and two ranged weapons, and you fight it out with up to 15 other players like that. There are multiple game modes, including melee only, assassination, free for all, and team modes. There are many techniques you can learn to increase your skill in this game. They may seem like glitches at first, but they are meant to be there. Overall, very fun to play.
Cons: No central server! This means instead of everyone connecting to a server to play the game, everyone has to connect to every other player, which generates more lag in some cases.
Many people who get skilled simply start new charicters and kill new people, so it might not be the most fun to start off.
Torrented download takes forever! I used to be able to get this game in under an hour, now it takes forever!
Doesn't follow through on its promises. Quests were promised to be added in November 2005. As far as I know, they still haven't been implimented.
