From Griffin Technology:From the developer: "The iMic Control utility provides additional features and control for the iMic USB audio adapter. Currently, the iMic control supports output treble, bass, volume, balance, and mute, as well as input gain. Some functions, such as audio input gain, require that you hot-plug the iMic before the new settings take effect.
"Among other things, this software allows one to change the USB audio input type. This provides a workaround for a problem in OS 9 with the Apple USB audio drivers. Normally a USB audio input device would 'register' itself as a Microphone Input so the iMic is compatible with more audio applications."

Cons: The "control panel" interface is unbelievably primitive. C'mon, it doesn't have to be this way. There are so many beautiful software programs out there, can't a poor LP owner have something decent to work with? The software stopped functioning entirely after about half a dozen outings. When I contacted tech support, they suggested that I was out of disc space. It's a brand new computer, and Imic was literally the first thing I used it for, so that seems like a very weak suggestion. So I decided to smash the Griffin disc into a million pieces, a thoroughly enjoyable experience, by far the best thing that came out of my purchase of this software. This program is utterly worthless. Do not buy it.

"Hardware is aweful - poor quality recordings"
