Statement-of-self titles have a storied history (think "Mos Def & Talib Kweli are Black Star"), one that's tended to imply a seriously tight coming out party. That's certainly true of Moe Pope and Headnodic's Megaphone project, a blistering but groovy underground turn.
Biography
Recall Hip Hop duo juggernauts like Eric B. and Rakim, Pete Rock and CL Smooth, and DJ Premier and Guru. These rare and classic collabos are the influence behind Megaphone...a welcome return to the producer + emcee combination and it brings back two former members of the group Mission: (now known as Crown City Rockers). Headnodic's heavyweight sound production is matched with and underlines Moe Pope's revolutionary-punk-rock-on-static vocals and so the latest Hip Hop producer + emcee duo emerges.
