It can lock GBs of files in a second, unlike slow encryption programs. With a simple drag and drop, your files can be locked and unlocked with a single click. Once locked, your files cannot be renamed, deleted, read, or even seen. It works on all flavors of Windows i.e Windows XP/2000/NT/Me/98/95 and on all disk drives like FAT, FAT32, and NTFS.

Folder Lock uses a unique method to lock, which allows the user to click only once and lock all the required files instantly. Locked files are unaccessible in Windows Explorer as well as DOS mode. Even booting your computer to another operating system doesn't show locked files. The new version erases recent documents on exit.

Snoopers can't find or access the files you hide using Folder Lock, even in DOS or under other operating systems. This application also erases your Recent Documents history, so intruders don't know what to search for. The attractive lock-like interface presents the program functions simply. You can click on the Browse link to locate and lock folders anywhere on your computer, or you can simply secure them via a right-click. You also have the option to shred files for permanent removal, monitor hackers who try to break in to your secured files, and enable stealth mode so would-be wrongdoers can't even see the folders you have locked. In our tests, the program demonstrated good speed, even when securing large folders. If you share a PC and need to keep certain files to yourself, you should definitely have a look at this application.
